Brook House Condominiums, Brookline, MA
Over many years, we assisted the management of Brookhouse Condominiums in making decisions regarding interior and exterior repairs and renovations. This four story, 770-unit condominium complex was built in the 1960s and, over time, has needed repairs to the roofing, the exterior masonry, the windows, plaza waterproofing, the parking garage structure, as well as many other site structures.
We designed the replacement of all the roofs with new single ply PVC membrane, with heat welded seams, for extended service and heat reflecting qualities. Extensive repairs were made to the brick exterior including rebuilding, repointing, and repair of cracks. Balcony repairs and waterproofing were performed in many locations. Waterproofing repairs were designed and repaired over the underground garage and repairs were performed directly to the concrete structure of the garage. In each case, extensive coordination with management was performed to minimize resident disruption and reduce costs while at the same time reducing future maintenance requirements.
