Massachusetts State House, Boston, MA

During its most recent major renovation, I was the Ironwork Conservator for all the wrought iron on the entire site. Each area of fencing and all the gates were evaluated on site, removed to the shop for repair, stripped of paint, and repaired where needed. Several areas required replacement because of extensive deterioration. When complete, each section received a 3-coat high tech paint system for many years of service requiring little maintenance. Reinstallation was coordinated with the GC and the mason who was responsible for restoring the stone based at each fence section.
